The Hero In Each of Us: Finding Your Role in Supporting Veterans, Military and Their Families
To address suicide prevention using a public health approach, everyone in our communities needs to understand what role they can play. The goal of the 2019 Suicide Prevention Summit is to help individuals and organizations gain a better understanding of military culture and the challenges faced by our Members of the Miltary, Veterans, and their families in an effort to inform suicide prevention efforts.
September 25th Event: Recommended for mental health and health care professionals, employers, law enforcement, and county, community or faith-based agencies.
September 26th: Recommended for school districts, school-based providers, and educators (K-12).
On both days, registration and a light breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. The program will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The opening program will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and includes a performance of the National Anthem and a Color Guard presentation. We ask that participants arrive prior to 8 a.m. to respect the performance of the National Anthem and Color Guard presentation (no late admittance during this part of the program).
